Hi everyone!  Today I will tell you about the TV programme that I enjoyed watching when I was a child. When I was about 4 years old, I started to see The Powerpuff Girls and I loved it! This TV programme was about three superhuman girls: Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, created artificially by Professor Utonium. The story begins when the Professor is making a mix to create human girls but accidentally adds Chemical X to the mix after his then laboratory assistant, Jojo (who would later become the villainous Mojo Jojo), put it in a nearby bottle of the mysterious liquid, thus granting girls their superpowers. The Powerpuff Girls dedicated their lives to fighting crime and the forces of evil in the city of Townsville, USA and save the world before going to bed. I remember seeing this program every morning while I still did not have to go to school, but when I started going to school, I had to see it in the afternoons. I remember that when I arrived at my home, I installe...
Hi all! Today I would like to talk about my university. I´m studying Architecture at the University of Chile and if I had to say the things that make me happy in university is the friendship I found here. I have really good friends. Also, in general, I´m satisfied with the contents and the freedom of teaching.  But I think that are a lot of things need changing, in first place the teachers should have pedagogy courses because they aren´t teachers, they are architects, so they don´t know how treat to students, and they don´t know teaching methodologies. So, I think that is very important that they take some pedagogy course urgently.  On the other hand, I think it is urgent to structure the workshop, for example evaluations, class schedules, etc. are regulated and just like that to avoid an academic overload, which is currently affecting the mental health of the students a lot.  Finally I think that the infrastructure of the faculty is quite precarious, as students ...
Hi everyone! Today I’m going to talk about my vision of Santiago. What I like about Santiago is the multiplicity of people and things that are happening in a same place at the same time. I like too, the architecture of some places just like Barrio Concha y Toro, Barrio Italia, Bellas Artes, etc.  I think that all this places hidden and keep a special history. On other hand, I dislike of Santiago, is the air pollution, and the fast rate of the people who live and work in Santiago. Another thing that I dislike of Santiago is that the people don´t take care about the places and the public space.  I think that this is very harmful for us, because we share the same place, the same city. I think that would make Santiago a better place, is make a city more sustainable, because Chile doesn´t have a big level of ecological awareness so, for this is important that we try to face in all aspects of our lives that we can, optimizing natural resources, renewing and recycling to minimiz...

My presentation next week

Hi people! The next week I will talk about the relation between Modernity and Architecture. I will divide my presentation into 3 parts. First, I will talk about the impacts of industrialization in the new architecture in that period. I will mention the aspects of industrialization just like economic, social and architecture. Then I will talk about this new architecture and its characteristics. Finally, I will talk about the conflicts between architects and engineers. The society of the 18th century, it was impact for the creation of the machine vapor. This produced a big change in the society, just like social, economic, etc. With the growing population it was necessary create new buildings for the working class. In the architecture, the industrialization generated new structural systems, like roads, bridges and gray iron, directing the architecture to the functionality. On the other hand, the was a struggle between architects and engineers because the architects re...
Hi every one, Today I’m going to tell you about my favorite website.   Some time ago, when I was surfing on Facebook, a friend shared a post of a website news that talked about feminism and what is happening in the universities of Chile, about case of abuse, harassment and bullying, so I picked the link and I read a lot of articles about them. This website it´s call El Mostrador Braga, which is an extension of web news called El Mostrador. El Mostrador Braga, is a website specialized in matters of feminism, they publish news, opinion articles, investigations, etc of around the world about it and is really interesting.  I like this website because shows matters that has always been ignored in the Chilean society and contributing to education about this theme. I think that is important that means communication talk about feminism and the violence against women and dissents.   I visit this website every day because is important to be informado.   So I invi...
Dear all,  Today I'd like to tell you a bit myself. When I finished school, I started study law in Pontificia Universidad Católica, for a few years, but I didn´t feel satisfied because I didn't like just memorize and repeat once and another once that the teacher said to us, without think by myself. It´s for that, I decided study architecture in the Universidad de Chile because in this profession I can create all I want. I think that an architect contributes to society according to think the city keeping in mind the person and the environment and create architecture about that. In the future, I think that an architect and the architecture in general, will be create new forms and technology to fight with the climate change, the pollution and the shortage of resources from the sustainable design . My favorite subject is urbanism, because I think that is the dimension or area more social of the architecture and this is the most important in the moment to plan the cit...

Hi people, Today I'd like to talk about a beautiful place in the south of Chile, particularly of the Patagonia. In the summer holidays of 2017  I went to Torres del Paine with my brother and it was a unique experience. We visited a lot of beautiful places, like Glaciar Grey, Peohé, the Melodon Cave and Base Torres el Paine. We knew animals that do not exist in the central area, like Huemul, Ñandú, etc. The most impressive feature were the mountains, there are really big.  If I had to say something bad about Torres del Paine, is that very cold and the wind is really strong, I felt I was going to be blown away. But this is not a reason for you don't to go to Torres del Paine and live the experience.  I really hope that you can visit this place someday.
